How accurate is the AI score vs the real ETS score?

Speaking and Writing are scored by AI trained to mirror official TOEFL scoring; Reading and Listening auto-grade against the answer key. In internal validation across 70K+ scored responses, we land within ±0.3 of your official band about 92% of the time.

Is this a substitute for taking the actual TOEFL?

No. Anytest is a practice and feedback tool. You still take the official TOEFL iBT through ETS. We help you walk in confident and walk out with a better score.

Will I see an actual improvement?

Yes. If you complete 5 full practice tests within 7 days of buying and don't see improvement on at least one section, we refund, no DMs, no friction. Just email refund@anytest.ai.

Does it handle different English accents?

Yes. The model is trained on speakers from India, China, South Korea, Japan, Latin America, the Middle East, and more. It scores you fairly regardless of your L1 accent - but tells you when pronunciation actually impacts clarity.

How many times can I retake a practice test?

You can take as many retakes as you like - it is just the scoring that is charged.

Do I need a fancy mic?

Only Speaking needs a mic; a standard laptop mic or AirPods works. Reading, Listening and Writing do not. A 30-second mic check runs before Speaking so your audio scores cleanly.
